Meet Brett Layser

The founder behind it all

Short bio (one line): Brett Layser is the founder of Jetstream Private Equity Group, a multifamily real estate operator building passive income for accredited investors.

Media bio (full): Brett Layser is the founder of Jetstream Private Equity Group. He spent more than twenty years in real estate, from single-family homes and small multifamily to general partner on institutional-scale apartment communities, and he built Jetstream to give other busy professionals a way to own real estate without the second job that usually comes with it.

Before real estate, Brett served as a United States Marine Corps aviator, and he still flies today for a major airline, the same discipline he brings to how Jetstream underwrites a deal: identify every risk, stress-test it, and walk away if it does not hold up. He is a multifamily operator who also happens to fly, not the other way around.

Available to speak on: multifamily syndication, passive income for high earners, real estate for pilots and professionals, conservative underwriting, and tax-advantaged investing.

Multifamily investing built for passive income

One line:

Jetstream Private Equity Group is a Dallas–Fort Worth multifamily real estate operator that helps accredited investors earn passive income from apartment communities.

Short paragraph:

Jetstream Private Equity Group is a multifamily real estate investment sponsor based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Jetstream acquires value-add apartment communities alongside a network of experienced partners, improves and operates them, and gives accredited investors a way to own a share of real estate and its income without managing anything themselves. Offerings are made to verified accredited investors under Rule 506(c) of Regulation D.

Longer version:

Jetstream Private Equity Group is a multifamily real estate investment sponsor founded by Brett Layser, a former United States Marine Corps aviator and current major-airline pilot with more than twenty years in real estate.

Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Jetstream acquires value-add, workforce-housing apartment communities in Tennessee, Texas, Florida, and Utah, targeting solid properties in safe neighborhoods that are being run below their potential.

Working as general partner alongside a network of experienced operators, lenders, and property managers, Jetstream underwrites conservatively, stress-testing every deal against lower occupancy, rising expenses, and rising rates before committing a dollar.

Investors participate as limited partners and are paid before the general partners, by design. Jetstream’s own current holding is a 197-unit acquisition in Tennessee.
